My responsibilities at Buffalo:
I head up the recruitment process here at Buffalo and develop our grad scheme each year for our Trainee Campaign Officers. I am usually busy shortlisting applications, conducting telephone or face to face interviews and keeping in touch with new starters to make sure that they are all set to join the herd. I also manage other projects such as the Project Placement scheme which offers our TCOs and COs the opportunity to be involved in other areas of the business. I am also involved in staff welfare with some HR responsibilities to make sure that we remain a happy herd!
Why I chose to work for Buffalo:
Buffalo seemed like a friendly place to work and being a smaller company at the time it was clear that there would also be room to grow. This has definitely turned out to be the case for both – I am lucky enough to have a say in who joins the team, and each new herd member has been a pleasure to work with. The company has grown a great deal since I joined in 2009 and this has been because of the fantastic people who work here coming up with new ideas and being given the opportunity to implement them.
Desert Island Essentials:
Book - Something I haven’t read before as I never read the same book twice. So whatever happens to be the latest novel lent to me by a friend.
Record - A mix tape made for me by my brother (or as we are no longer in the 90s, a spotify playlist).
Film - Could I cheat and say a crime drama box set?
Luxury Item - Loads of bottled water. And some cheese.
