£1 million raised in September despite the credit crunch!
Buffalo ran five telethons in September 08 for The Perse School and four Oxbridge Colleges. Every day during the telethons the news conveyed yet more ‘doom and gloom’ about the meltdown in the financial sector and so fundraising was going to be tough. However, our Campaign Managers stood by Buffalo’s principles of ‘getting personal’. The callers were taught to build relationships, explain the ‘Case for Support’ and passionately and proudly ask for a donation. The belief instilled in the callers was transmitted down the phone to the alumni and all five telethons exceeded expectations. A huge number of alumni donated which resulted in well over £1 million being raised in regular and single donations. Buffalo believe that if there is a strong ‘Case for Support’, affiliated individuals will always give!
